CHEADLE  ( STAFFS )  AUTO CLUB

The Cheadle (Staffs) Auto Club will run their Winter Trophy Trial as the first of their 2012 season of motorcycle trials at the popular Tittesworth Farm venue set in the heart of the picturesque Staffordshire Moorlands on Sunday 29 January.

The course will be aimed at giving everyone a good days sport and all riders will have a choice of either the Championship sections or the easier Clubman’s ones.  All sections will have dual routes, with all riders having the option to ride a 50/50 route if they wish to. The harder section will be for the better riders, the easier for those wanting a less demanding route and the 50/50 route which will give those wishing a more challenging trial than the easy route presents an them with an opportunity to ride some of the more difficult sections without going all the way and riding the full expert trial. The clubs intentions are to give everyone a good days sport.

The clubs policy this year will be to make the “easy route” less demanding than in the past in order to give the novices and older riders an easier day out.

The trial will cater for all classes of machine and for all grades of rider including Expert, Intermediate, Novice and Beginners as well as Twinshock, British Bike, Over 40s, and Youth A and B.

Tittesworth Farm is about one mile from Leek at Blackshaw Moor on the A53 Leek to Buxton road.

The Cheadle Auto Club again has free membership  for 2012 so anyone wanting to ride in one of their trials can turn up on the day and simply pay the entry fee.  You will still need to hold an ACU licence which can be obtained at the trial but apart from that there will be no fuss and no extra cost to you. The trial will be run on one of the ACU’s “Open” permits which means that riders do not have to join the club and pay any membership subs in addition to the usual entry fee.  This will continue to be the clubs policy throughout 2012 in order to try to keep costs to the riders to a minimum.
